Allie's 1st Birthday

It's so amazing to think that Allie is already one years old! What a cutie! We had her birthday party at my aunt's beautiful house and it was such a beautiful party. My aunt is the best hostess. Allie had such a great time and so did everyone else. She had an adorable Hello Kitty cake. And she got lots of books and clothes and toys. A one year letter for my baby:
Dear Allie,
I was so nervous about you before I met you. I was nervous that I would not be a good mommy or maybe that we wouldn't get along or something crazy like that. The best day of my life was the day you were born and I looked into your beautiful eyes. And I knew that all my anxieties were foolish. I know every mom says this but it was love at first sight. This has been a wonderful year. Of course there was difficult times (usually sleepless nights or sick baby days) but it was all worth it especially when I saw your first smile. You bring so much light to mine and your dad's life. We love you so so much.
Love,
Mommy

Baptism

Allie was baptized on 4/15/2012 at Covenant Presbyterian Church. And needless to say she was plain adorable. She was very well behaved and our minister just loved her. :) And having that feeling of the body of Christ welcoming my baby girl just felt amazing and comforting. Just knowing that they will help her grow in Christ comforts my soul.
But... we did not take pictures. So we finally got some done this pass weekend of her in her Baptism dress. So here they are and I hope you enjoy! :)

Photo Shoot

On Sunday we had a photo shoot at 9am at the Botanical Gardens. We were a little worried they would not be great because Allie was one grouchy baby. She didn't sleep well the night before and the woke up early. When we got there she wasn't very happy because she didn't know the photographer. But she did warm up later. The pictures turned out terrific!

And this is only a preview of them! I'll be getting more later on!

Love of Animals

Let me just start out saying... Allie is so like her daddy. She is so energetic and loves outdoors and LOVES animals. The complete opposite of me! I use to want to make a t-shirt that said "I hate Wildlife": I was very passionate about my hate :) But of course my little angel loves to be outdoors to play with the cats. She loves to walk up to them and she gets so excited that she does this little yell and then the cats run and she goes after them. She can say "Minigh" (Midnight) when she sees our cat Midnight. But above all she loves dogs. I have no idea where she got this because I am terrified of dogs and have been my whole life. But one of the main reasons she loves going to my Aunt's and Nana's is because they have dogs. When I drop her off she will cry because she doesn't want me to leave but as soon as she sees that dog she doesn't even look at me again.
Allie and Chic

Poor Chic!
So now we are thinking of getting a dog but after having the best dog ever, Max, it will be hard to find one. Allie would love to have a dog at home though!

Adios! and Have a Good Day!

Fireworks, Free days, and Forts

Hey guys!
Boy what a crazy week! It's been a really really fun one though! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We  had a really great one. I've been in this cooking phase where I try only new recipes (mainly from Pintrest). All three of the recipes turned out great! My Nana and her husband Joe came over for dinner which Allie loved. My Nana is definitely one of Allie's favorite people. She always is happy to see her and she never wants to leave her when we are leaving. It is quite cute. Speaking of cute: Allie's outfit was the most adorable for 7/04. O my goodness what an adorable baby! (I will try to get a photo of her in it later so y'all can see the cuteness). We didn't end up going to see any fireworks but that was okay because we had a great evening at home.

Thursday was such a good day because I convinced Melvin to stay home with us. First all three of us went to Gardendale to go to like the world's best Thrift Store. Allie fell asleep on the way there so I didn't end up going in because we didn't want to wake baby but that was fine because she is the cutest little sleeper! Then we went to have lunch with my mommy downtown. We ate at a food court kinda thing and Allie thought that everyone there was for her! She kept walking around and touching all the chairs she passed! She also looooooves escalators. I wish I got a video of her there because she runs around make adorable baby noises and when she runs she always has her arms behind her. It is so funny! So after lunch we go home and just chill and get in the awesome amazing pool! Allie absolutely loves that pool and well so do we! Later that night we go to Lifeway and we finally got these bookends I have been wanting for Allie's room! Lifeway tried to put a damper on my night because the associates there were rude, which was surprising. but I didn't care because my day was too good. Yesterday was for sure one of my best days I've had in a while!
Getting ready to go out and
about on Thursday

Such a cute outfit!

Today it was just me and Allie until about 5. She woke up at 7:30 but then we just laid in bed for an hour watching a movie. I was so grateful for that because I was not ready to get going. Later we were watching veggietales and she starts moving couch cushions. All the couch cushions. She demanded every single one. The smaller ones she could manage but when she got to the bigger ones she could still pick them up but she was panting and sweating. She then put all the pillows in one area and crawled all over it. I know she was building a baby fort! I'm so proud of that little baby! :)
Little Worker!

Until next time! :)

Fun in the Sun!

Good lord it's hot!
Let me get off the topic of cute baby for now. I am soooo thankful to my husband, Melvin, who works everyday in the hot sun from about 8-5. Thanks to him Allie and I can like eat and stuff! :)
So anyways... yesterday was so super hot so we decided to try out Allie's new pool: be prepared to be a little jealous!! :)
Awesome Pool From Target

Melvin Setting Up Said Pool
Now we love this pool but we weren't loving it when we were setting it up! For some reason I thought it came with a pump but it didn't so we trying to blow it up with out mouths which was not easy. Finally I just went and bought and Intex air pump and after that it only took 5 secs to blow it up. While Melvin was setting it up Allie would not go anywhere near it. Every time I tried to put her down she would cling onto me. It was pretty cute. As soon as it got water in it though I thought she would never get out.
Loves her pool

Playing in the Pool which has
sprinklers and a waterslide

Happy Baby in her new bathing suit!
I think one of the best parts of having a little one year old is I have excuses to play with things that my inner child would love to play with, like this pool! :)

Hasta Luego!
