Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Do you hear what I hear?
It's Christmas time! I'm so excited! When I was little I was not a huge fan of Christmas, weird right?! But I love it now! We weren't sure if we wanted to do the whole Santa thing with Allie because I am not looking forward to that dreaded day of discovering the truth. But we decided to it and it was a hit! On Thanksgiving we went to my Nana's for dessert. The whole family was there and it was great! At about six we here sleigh bells and in walks SANTA!!! Oh my goodness, how exciting! Of course Allie was a little scared at first but she quickly got over that! She was loving her some Santa by the time we left!

Needless to say it was a great night! Whenever we go anywhere Allie always gets ecstatic when she sees a Santa decoration. And she tries to say Christmas tree when we see a Christmas tree! What a cutie! :)

Well I want to blog more but I've got a test tomorrow! Goodnight everyone!

My Little Model

Hola!
Well I felt like writing a happy blog to lift my spirits after my depressing post on my other blog! I've got to get some sleep before my math exam tomorrow so I'm just going to post some adorable pictures of Allie. Some look like she's doing some poses. Enjoy! :)

Pumpkin Painting

Happy Almost Halloween! I hope everyone is enjoying this fall/winter weather! We have been doing all the festivals that we can. A couple of weeks ago we went to the Hoover library and Allie and I painted a pumpkin while Melvin was in class. It was exhausting to carry a wet pumpkin and a toddler even if I did have a stroller because I didn't want to get paint on the stroller. But overall we had a lot of fun.

Friday night we went to our new church Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. It was one of the best festivals I've been ever been to! We got to eat some nice junk food like Chic-Fil-A, Dominos, pretzels  cotton candy, etc... (I know you're jealous)! There was also one of those rides that are like the teacup ride. For those of you who don't me I am terrified of rides. So Melvin and Allie went on the ride first and Allie loved it. So later I went on it since Allie could do it I knew I could! It was actually pretty fun! Of course I didn't let Melvin spin our bucket on the ride. They gym had all these inflatables and Allie was just in awe. She didn't go on them but she basically ran around the gym yelling at the things. It was quite adorable!

Sunday afternoon we went to the Green Valley Baptist Church Weekday's fall festival.  It was a really nice one. But it was so so so cold so we did not get to stay very long. We got to see the director of Allie's school and Allie's teacher. We got to trunk or treat. Allie was adorable because it was her first time and when she finally realized that she was getting all this free candy she would go to the bucket and put both hands in and grab candy. We had to put some back but it was the cutest thing in the whole world! She was a little blue fairy but it got so cold we had to put her owl hat on. People kept asking what she was but that's OK because the hat is o too cute!

I hope everyone else has wonderful fall festivities! :)

School Days

My baby girl is growing up! I know I've said a little about her new pre-school, Green Valley Baptist Weekday. We had open house on Monday, it was so so precious! We got to go to her little classroom and see her teachers and all her art. Then we went to the hot dog dinner and book fair. Allie acted like she owned that place. What a cutie pie! Last month she got school pictures and she was a pro at it. Because she only goes on Thursdays and photos were on Tuesday, Melvin and I had to take her. They ended up letting us take a family photo which I was so unprepared for. I was of course wearing an old tie dye shirt! But it still turned out to be so cute!

Of course Allie's is the cutest photo of all! If they weren't so expensive I probably would have bought as much possible.

I have no complaints about GVBW! I love it so much. I do miss Ms. Tammy and Ms. Becky from Canterbury though! I was just thinking about them today. I hope we can at least visit them sometime soon.

So glad I finally got to blog again! Hopefully now that Melvin is back I will be able to that more often! For those of you who didn't know Melvin was back check out my other blog http://youngmomincollege.blogspot.com/
Hasta luego! :)

Long Time No Blog :)

Hola! Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged! As most of my friends and family know, I have been a single mom for almost 4 weeks now. Melvin, my husband, has been in immigration custody and it has been rough but you can read more about that in my other blog  http://youngmomincollege.blogspot.com/2012/09/jeremiah-2911.html . So we are gonna change the subject now!
Before Melvin left, one day he worked for a guy and helped him move. I remembered he worked really late and I was a little upset but it was worth it. The guy he was working for gave him a Barbie Jeep for Allie. Allie LOVES it! It's a little big for her so Melvin puts a pillow in the bottom and uses a stick to press the pedals himself. They are so cute together!

Well we have entered the terrible twos! You might think Allie is the cutest thing in the whole wide world 24/7 but I have proof that proves differently! I mean she's cute for most of the time but she can be a little wild child!

These picture just show how much little Allie is growing up! She looks like a big girl!

We put Allie on one of those rides at Toy's R US. It did not go so well. Partly because she was tired and thirsty at the time. But those things are pretty scary so who blames a little baby for crying at it!

This picture about breaks my heart. Allie is trying to put on her daddy's hat. She misses him so much!

Two weekends ago my mom took Allie to the family reunion in north Alabama. Allie got to meet my cousin Elliot(he's exactly 6months older then Allie). They hit it off big time! Elliot kept hugging Allie when they first met and Allie wasn't very sure what to do. So she just set on the floor... then Elliot sat in her lap! What cuties!

Growing Up!

Boy I've been wanting to write forever! I finally I have a free minute so I thought I would write! My little baby is growing up and it is amazing and sad at the same time! Just to see her developing important life skills and to see her little personality warms my heart. She has learned to eat by herself which is just precious. Of course it is very very messy but to see her face when she accomplished it was so amazing. Her personality is a little ball of fire! She has soooo much energy and wants to do what she wants to do all the time. She also likes to lead people around by taking their finger in her hand. She is so the opposite of her mommy because all she likes to do is run around and go outside. If you ever need a workout you just watch Allie for me one day! :)

Allie is going to a new mother's day out at Green Valley Baptist Church. I have mixed feelings about that. I absolutely love Canterbury but it is not going to work with my schedule this semester. (Mrs. Tammy if you're reading this: we are going to go one last time). But so far I'm loving GVBC. Of course I've only toured it but still!  Her new Mother's day out is more like a school! She has school pictures and carpool and she needs a lunch box! My little baby is so grown up! One of the reasons that I'm really excited about GVBC is that it is in Hoover so Allie will be able to make Hoover friends since she will be going to Hoover city schools. I have to attend orientation for her school on Tuesday! I feel like such a mom!
Anyways I gotta get off and go get some sleep while the baby is sleeping! Adios!

Allie's 1st Birthday

It's so amazing to think that Allie is already one years old! What a cutie! We had her birthday party at my aunt's beautiful house and it was such a beautiful party. My aunt is the best hostess. Allie had such a great time and so did everyone else. She had an adorable Hello Kitty cake. And she got lots of books and clothes and toys. A one year letter for my baby:
Dear Allie,
I was so nervous about you before I met you. I was nervous that I would not be a good mommy or maybe that we wouldn't get along or something crazy like that. The best day of my life was the day you were born and I looked into your beautiful eyes. And I knew that all my anxieties were foolish. I know every mom says this but it was love at first sight. This has been a wonderful year. Of course there was difficult times (usually sleepless nights or sick baby days) but it was all worth it especially when I saw your first smile. You bring so much light to mine and your dad's life. We love you so so much.
Love,
Mommy
